Politician and activist omoyele sowore has finally been released from detention On Thursday evening by the Department of state security after spending a total of 126days in detention this comes after a federal high court sitting in lagos ordered his release within 24 hours and ordered the DSS to pay him 100,000 naira for his continued detention even after he had been granted bail 2times before, it would be recalled that omoyele was whisked away from his hotel room some months ago by men of the DSS, detained and charged to court on charges bordering on treason after he called for nationwide protests against bad governance using the hashtag #RevolutionNow.
He is however expected to be back in court on friday for a continuation of his trial.
