Read this interesting piece by a Facebook user about the “Talking flier” testimony by Bishop Oyedepo

A facebook user Favy chisimdi has taken to the platform to share her thoughts on the trending “Talking flier”testimony by Bishop David oyedepo, it would be recalled that few days ago The man of God gave a testimony of how his flier “talked” in a kidnappers den where a woman was being held causing the kidnappers to run away, Read and tell us what you think;

ABOUT PASTORS AND MIRACLES (The talking flier)

So there was a testimony by a woman who was kidnapped, and the flier of David Oyedepo of Living Faith Bible Church started speaking in tongues and the kidnappers ran away... The internet has been ablaze with different analysis to this story.

Okay.

A long time ago, I accompanied my Dad and his Big brother, Chief Sunny J to Ohaneze, a day festival popularly celebrated by the Igbo speaking people of Nigeria. During that festival, I saw some things that I couldn't still explained till date.

A group of young people gathered and fetched water in a basket... The basket actually held the water... Oh yes!

A man from another group came with 4 pieces of some length of materials, dropped it on the ground, asked all the women to leave and started incantating and singing, these cloths on the ground started moving, then they rose up it became a human form without a head but two legs, looking like a mini masquerade, then it started multiplying, to two and three and four... After a while, he changed the tempo, these mini masquerades ran into each other, danced and danced and the cloth fell to the ground, then the diviner folded the wrappers inside his box and walked away.

I was a curious child hiding behind my two Daddies to watch.

Not too long, I got an apartment owned by a traditionalist in Ugbine, Benin City. Where a pregnant woman quarrelled with the owner of my house, the traditionalist... They spoke Bini language so I don't know the content of their quarrel but Baba felt really pained. The next day I woke up to a commotion, the woman was rushed to my compound. She couldn't wake up from her sleep, but she was breathing. They tried everything they could, her husband was in tears kneeling and pleading "Epah larhor wuowuo"

This old man went inside his room, came out with a palmwine keg and poured the water away... The woman jumped up, out of the slumber that almost the who community has tried to wake her from... He didn't touch her, he just poured away water from the keg.

I have a friend here on facebook who is not Christian or Muslim, but she physically sees your energy... She would ask you, why were you crying last night, what were you celebrating yesterday? It's left for you to wonder how come she knew, because you didn't tell her.

There are people who could see ghosts, there are people who communicates with the dead, there are people who reads palms, who tells the future...

What makes you think a flier cannot talk? What makes you think Pastor Odumeje, or Adeboye, or Sheik Hussein cannot use their handkerchiefs to do stuffs you can't explain?

The if it's purpose wasn't meant for you, why would you expect to hear, see or understand things outside the ordinary?

What makes you think life has to happen under your scrutiny and lame understanding?

There are medical cases where doctors said "nothing can be done... Yet something out of the ordinary was done, there are cases where doctors, scientists and experts found themselves in a state of dilemma because they couldn't explain what was before their eyes.

I know religion has killed Africa, we're almost slaves to religious leaders, but you need to understand that you can't explain or understand everything my friends!

The word Mystery is found in the dictionary, which describes a phenomenon that cannot be explained or understood.

Let's take a look at the Bermuda triangle, or the UFO sightings. Scientists has been on these for years, they have devoted years of research yet no meaningful explanation.

If you still think that everything has to go through the human limited and substandard level of reasoning, then I feel sorry for you.

When the conversation is about a pastor, all of us suddenly put on our thinking caps and start sifting through the story, but we can't go to our individual villages and challenge that known native doctor, or enter that big shrine and scatter it.

I am irreligious, I agree, but I know there are mysteries and miracles that defers human comprehension...

I am a product of one.
